dear mom and h2o for life kenya supporters, as we look back at 2018 we are so very grateful for the prayers, encouragement and financial support from all of you! thanks to you we can continue blessing families here at home and around the world by providing basic physical needs and most importantly, the love and good news of jesus christ! *in the philippines the school lunch program continues to grow each year. we currently feed 126+ students a nutritious lunch each school day and employ four local women to manage the program and cook for the children. several adults and children were (and still are) supported for major medical interventions and chronic disease. last year 12 year-old dg had life-saving heart surgery to repair four holes in his heart! please pray for dg's continued recovery and his family. in april, a group of 10 filipino youth attended summer bible camp to grow and renew their faith. *in kenya, this past year, we were able to drill three more deep wells that have the potential to provide clean water to an additional 3,000 - 6,000 people. we are currently researching the cost and feasability of piping water from these wells to three schools which do not have water. in march of 2018 two m.o.m. board members provided pastoral training to two area groups of pastors the jesus film released "walking with jesus" and "magdelena" in the maasai language in november. for the first time, we were able to share the gospel through film, in their own language, with the communities we serve in kenya. through a generous donation, we were also able to provide 200 maasai bibles as well! m.o.m. sent six area pastors to technical and evangelical training for the films, provided 100 sd cards with digital ministry resources. we are so excited about this new ministry tool and have equipped two local maasai pastors with a solar backpack kit with everything they need to show the film in the villages. one of the pastors sent us a report & has already shown the film and ministered to over 3,000 people! we look forward to future clean water development projects in kenya and prayerfully plan to dig two more wells in june 2019. these areas were identified in november of 2018 and struggle with the worst water scarcity we have seen. the women travel several miles, through a wildlife conservancy to access the only pool of water around, only to be turned back by the conservancy guards. please be in prayer for the success of these projects! here at home mom volunteers, once again, provided fire relief work to help ease the devastation of the sand springs area which burned in 2017. homeward bound, a week of service in sweet grass county, was a wonderful week of more than 200 neighbors helping neighbors in august. 2018 marked our 4th year of this community event which has been so successful thanks to the amazing volunteers in our community! watch for announcements about homeward bound 2019. we would love to have you there! for more information on these and other projects please visit our facebook page and blog at: facebook.com/montanaonamissio nmontanaonamission.org/ mery donald montana on a mission board chairperson
