annual day 2019-20 indian school muscat (middle section) celebrated its 44th annual day, on 25th november 2019 with euphoria, excitement and elation. the chief guest, h.h sayyida mayya al said, and the guest of honour,mr. ajay kummar j, president of the school management committee graced the occasion. this graceful occasion commenced with the rendition of the royal anthem of oman and the national anthem of india. this was followed by a digital presentation, showcasing the great accomplishments of the school. the highlight of the cultural programme was the “jugal bandhi”, a fusion of indian classical music and western music, while the budding artists painted a lovely landscape at the backdrop. h.h sayyida encouraged the students to pursue their dreams relentlessly. the teachers who completed 10 and 20 years of service in the school were felicitated for their loyalty, dedication and commitment. the programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by the head girl. annual athletic meet and drill display indian school muscat organised the 44th annual athletic meet and drill display on 12th december, 2019 with much fervour on the school grounds. mr. jahad bin abdulla bin mohammed al-sheikh, member of the asian athletic federation & secretary general of oman athletic federation, graced the occasion as the chief guest and mr shahab haider rizwi, vice president and chairman, smc, indian school muscat was the guest of honour. a feeling of euphoria had gripped every participant as they were all competing for the cock-house trophy. the flag bearers of all the four houses with their contingents marched around the school ground. it was followed by the splendid drill displays involving mass student participation. the school flag was brought down and handed over in highest solemnity signifying the end of sporting activities for the school year 2019-20. winter strokes 'art is not what you see, but, what you make others see.' the department of visual art proudly displayed their ever time art exhibition, tagged 'winter strokes' on 8th december,2019 in the new multipurpose hall of indian school muscat, containing more than 1000 paintings and 300 sculptures accomplished by the students and art teachers, aiming to show that an artist is hidden in every child. this exhibition offered the audiences an opportunity to experience something new and thought provoking. this exhibition surely rendered more enlightened student artists, enabling them to find a place among the professionals through their works that speak a thousand words from what is pinned behind the glass and the frame.
