first edition , june 2020 message from the principal’s desk dear parents, for the students, working at the very outset, i would like to send you warm greetings on behalf of the entire teaching fraternity. we are going through an unprecedented global predicament today. each one of us and the entire world is affected by the coronavirus pandemic; our entire way of life is adversely affected by the scare of contagion. our talented staff have been showing their care and concern from home, engaging in creating constructive activities and online classes .for the benefit of students. this is the one side of the coin. the other side. what kids need right now is to feel comforted and loved. to feel like it’s all going to be ok. have your day started and ending with board games, activity games (monopoly, scrabble, memory games, ludo, snakes and ladders, puppet show and many more).and that might mean that you tear up your perfect schedule and love on your kids a bit more. bake cookies and paint pictures. do a science experiment together or find virtual field trips of the zoo. start a book and read together as a family. snuggle under warm blankets and do nothing. weekend specials should be playing housie, painting and drawing, all the while encouraging to clean up the floor once it is done. encourage your ward to make simple yummies for himself / herself like pasta, salad, sandwiches, with a little help from his / her mom. our hi -fives have to become elbow touch. every hour, any family member who reminds first to wash hands gets a smiley so your ward will also be learning lessons on time and numbers . our neighbours are like a second family to us, so you can encourage your children and theirs to make their own two -page e -newspaper daily and email it to both the families. i am sure all of us have been practising social distancing, physical distancing and coming together on google classrooms for mutual morale boosting conversations and sharing. this is the best way to counter the pandemic. and lastly, my friend's son says, “dad look some endangered species of birds and animals are out in the open,” as he watches a video circulating online which talks about the positives of coronavirus lockdown and all i think is, has our old way of life come to an end? i start singing, “a whole new world a new fantastic point of view.” till i write to you again… with warm regards, dr rajeev kumar chauhan principal page 2 the communiqué
