Creativity is an art and art is the pulse of life. Novelist Brian Moore said that “Once you become creative, you will see the world in a different way from ordinary people”. I helped to establish a new movement that represents Saudi contemporary art called the “Ebdaa Art Group”. It is the first Saudi artist community in the U.S. and it focuses solely on Saudi art. This group includes many Saudi artists residing around the United States and is funded by the Saudi Culture Mission in Washington DC. The major aim of this group is to exhibit the hidden and unknown contemporary art treasures that have been created by Saudi female and male artists in the U.S. working with different types of media.The art presented here includes work of fine art, sculpture, photography, and graphic design. As an artist, I see the importance of art in its history and from where it is originated. Art can serve as a straight line between two different cultures. After I graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, USA, I wanted to start a new movement to present hidden contemporary Saudi art treasures to the world. This movement is a complementary to one that was first started by Magied Alsgoor and Artist Hend al-Mansour, who organized the first Saudi females art exhibition, “Beauty Made by the Unseen”last year in Minnesota. I am the first Saudi woman who has studied Fine Art painting at the Academy of Art University.
