I believe that each piece of my work has its own story, aesthetic, and qualities that differentiate it from other projects. My work is a combination of design, video, 2D & 3D animation; I mix them together for a finished interesting final product. When it comes to my work, it might appear that they are on completely disparate grounds because of their varying styles and forms (Print vs. Motion). However, every piece I create has one ultimate goal; to communicate a message in the clearest way possible. Whether it is the story of King Kong or a title sequence for James bond, they all share the same purpose. Today, I am pursuing an MFA in Graphic Design specializing in Motion Graphics at Calarts, where I am hoping to advance my critical and conceptual thinking. Also, at Calarts I have a chance to develop my teaching skills by being a teaching assistant in different programs and undergraduate classes. One of my goals in the near future is to bring a higher level of design education to Saudi Arabia. My main area of study was Fine Art which includes: watercolor and acrylic painting, drawing and sketching in pencil and charcoal and designing posters. Typography is used in most of my work and I enjoy it as an art and a mean of communication as well. Contrasting and highlighting important information can lead the viewer’s eye throughout the page and creates interesting design elements. Before taking my design to the computer and bring it to the life, I sketch out by hand. I get my inspiration from the world around me. 7
